(An important message from Abolish Abortion NC)
In light of the ongoing reality of child sacrifice in our nation, and specifically in North Carolina, the new year seems like a good time to aim our focus going forward. In order to do this, we’d like to consider our priorities and seek to encourage/exhort other believers in our various spheres of influence.
The priority of focus in our view are the following:
The culture war.
This is engaged in the culture at-large. Signs, literature distribution, high school and college ministry, public preaching, and a host of other things can be employed. The chief thing is that the Gospel is central and that the activities are public and hard to ignore (which is true of all that we do for the preborn).
Exhorting the apathetic church.
The reality of church apathy is hard to dispute. Still, we have to hope that the Lord uses the body of Christ to abolish child sacrifice (however it may manifest). Otherwise it will be ended by the judgment of God. Repentance is always preferable to God’s judgment. A steady diet of bringing this matter to bear on the visible church is in order. The goal is to engage them to repentantly enter into the work, as opposed to simply affirming a good moral opinion. Anything less can and will continue to make peace with child sacrifice. Email campaigns, one on one meetings, small group discussions, conferences (large and small), are all means to that end. We want to be hard to ignore. Depending on the conscience of individual abolitionists, this can include church repent projects, especially for churches that have disregarded other efforts. (Regarding church repent projects, some may object on the basis of personal conscience, which is fine.)
Mill ministry.
As we all know, killing centers are not the front lines anymore. Surgical abortions are on the decline, the facilities are heavily fortressed, and the discreet use of abortifacients now represents the lion’s share of the landscape of child sacrifice. Nevertheless, babies are killed at abortion clinics, and it is the last stop for the preborn facing execution. Mill counselors, sign holders, public preaching, and sign ministry all play a part. They also serve as a testimony to/against passersby.
Support for struggling mothers.
We know that people are not killing their children because they don’t have resources, but because it is convenient and socially acceptable to do so. Even still, the body of Christ should be the ones they turn to when in need as opposed to the State, (or other outsourced means). Giving to PRCs does nothing to abolish child sacrifice. By contrast, when the body of Christ deals with the needs of mothers directly, we get direct Gospel influence into their lives. (This is true of all church driven charities.)
Politics.
This is at the end because with rare exceptions, politicians are not going to be more faithful than their constituents. When the culture and the church gets on board, so will the politicians. Nevertheless, biblical calls for justice serve to make disciples of the office holders so that as change comes, they have a proper template from which to work (the Bible).

It’s not necessary that everyone be engaged in all of these. The hope is that abolitionists will be at least engaged weekly in one of the first three, presuming they are physically capable.
We will publish a regular list of activities that are being conducted by rank-and-file believers. Pictures, video, events that are carefully planned, as well as basic bare bone, organic activism could be featured. We will be soliciting photos and videos from other abolitionists, especially in NC.
Writing is also an excellent medium. We would not, however, publish anyone who is not regularly leading/participating in at least one of the first three prioritized areas (unless they were homebound or suffering another similar limitation). We want to impress an all-hands-on-deck model, as opposed to the all too prevalent keyboard warrior pattern.
No peace with child sacrifice in 2026.
